The Nutrition and Dietetics program at CES University has a strong fundament for the study of food sciences and human nutrition. In undertakes a combination of processes related to the supply, distribution, production and processing of food; just like the ones with which the human body digests, absorbs, transforms, uses and eliminates the nutrients contained in food in normal conditions. It also focuses in nutrients that alter health in the life cycle and in special groups.
What does a nutritionist do?
They gain knowledge from processes of teaching, training, research and multidisciplinary teams in the fields of food sciences, nutrition and health as follows:
• A Nutritionist leads and forms part of interdisciplinary teams in clinical practice in the food industry, alongside institutional and community nutrition.
• It assesses processes and new product innovation in social marketing related to food.
• The promotion of lifestyles and healthy eating.
• They participate in food policy programs.
