CES is commitment to the internationalization of the Institution through its Office of International Affairs with the objective of improving academic standards, increasing its international competitiveness, promoting international culture and the expansion of educational services, thus providing students and faculty with the opportunity to broaden their personal and academic perspective. The activities which the office carries out include:
The Office of International Affairs offers students, professors and researchers the opportunity to complete academic exchange programs abroad during their training. The office also supports the applications of international students interested in participating in a mobility program at CES, through: http://relacionesinternacionales.ces.edu.co/
Internationalization at Home:
In addition to the mobilization of students and faculty abroad, CES also promotes numerous activities which provide an international perspective to the academic community such as:
• Inclusion of international students in formal and exchange programs
• Assistance to researchers in publishing articles in international journals
• Continuing education programs with visiting professors
• Promotion of a second language between students and faculty
• Cooperation with other institutions such as the Colombian Network of International Cooperation
• Joint work with the Alumni Office in the promotion of The CES International Alumni Network
• Development of international promotion strategies
It is in charge of the organization and promotion of cultural activities which foster international ties, such as concerts, art exhibits and festivals with the support of embassies, consulates and international centers. Among these, one of the most noted events is the organization of the Annual “CES Sin Fronteras” Program.
Export of Educational Services
The office supports and assists the different Schools who have expanded and made CES a regional leader in the Andean Region in countries like Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic where CES has offered programs in the public health sector, clinical medicine and clinical dentistry.
Agreements with international institutions
Agreements have been established with prestigious universities in the United States, Europe and Latin America, to strengthen international mobility programs, research and offer joint programs.
