The Center for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science is a modern, state of the art facility which serves as support for The School of Veterinary Medicine and which offers services in diverse areas. The Center offers a variety of clinical and hospitalization services for large and small animal species, such as surgery, imaging center, vaccination, post-operation recovery rooms, independent quarters and cages for different animal species as well as comfortable housing facilities with a convenient glass viewing system for Veterinary Students who remain on call, to monitor recovering animals overnight.
This modern infrastructure includes an appropriate information system, operating rooms for large and small species with communicating classrooms through a closed television circuit system as well as a panoramic window for direct visualization. A sophisticated pulley-elevated transportation system which can rotate animals 360 degrees, and move them in and out of the operating room to recovery rooms. Moreover, outpatient offices are equipped with physical examination devices connected to monitors that allow tissue viewing on an 18” screen, a permanent oxygen supply and x-ray and Ultrasound services.
The Centre also provides Consulting Services in different agro-technical areas such as animal health and reproduction, genetics, nutrition, soils, waters, environmental sanitation, waste -disposal, and agro technical management.
